I am an Assistant Professor of Physics in the Institute of Environmental and Physical Sciences at Shepherd University and teach introductory physics courses to students majoring in a wide variety of fields. My research interests are in the area of cellular biophysics. A significant portion of my students are biology majors which has inspired me to use my knowledge of biophysics to innovate my physics courses to include biologically oriented topics. I was fortunate enough to have been awarded a WV EPSCoR grant recently which has greatly helped to accelerate these efforts. This is an exciting time to be a physics professor at Shepherd University.
